Business Success Tips from an Unusual Place

I picked up an invaluable saying at a recent memorial service.

A speaker at the service told us that the deceased used to say "Doing Does It." One of his favorite sayings.

Of course it does! Actions speaks louder than words.

A job begun is a job half done. The first yard is the longest yard. You get the picture.

It is so very important to just get things accomplished/ completed/ done. Make a to do list, carefully prioritized, and then just head down that list from top to bottom.

Many ways to say the same thing but I think that "Doing Does It" might be the best.

Frankly I like it; it's short and sweet and makes a valuable point.

We were also told that the deceased liked to handle each piece of paper but once. Of course we like to think of this as a paperless world, but we are not quite there yet.

How much more efficient we can be, how much more we can get done in a day/ week/ month/ lifetime, if we quite literally handle each piece of paper but once. I agree entirely.

Let me add a third success tip that falls right in with these two: Each day tackle the least appealing to do items first.

For once you have the particularly unappealing tasks completed, you can literally sail down the list of the other to dos.

To your continued and increased success!
